Melbourne Blender Society – Feb 9th – Pausefest meetup with special guest Andrew Price (BlenderGuru) in person!

The Melbourne Blender society will be meeting at Pausefest on Monday the 9th of February from 7:00 to 8:00pm at the Beer De Luxe @ Fed Square. See the Pausefest Blender Meetup page for more information.

Please note that entry to the Meetup is FREE. You do not have to buy a Pausefest ticket!

The first meeting for this year we will have Andrew Price from Blender Guru in person.

Andrew Price has been providing online tutorials for Blender for over five years and has published two of the most comprehensive training courses ever made for blender – the Nature AcademyArchitecture Academy and most recently The Grass Essentials. Andrew also records a monthly podcast where he interviews other artists using Blender, provides advice and generally philosophizes on life…

As a result Andrew is one of the most influential figures in the broader Blender Community and will be answering any questions you have on making photo-realistic renders using Cycles.

Besides that we will have a retrospective of the best Blender Artwork of 2014 and, if we have time, the usual mini-tutorial.

Hope to see you there for what will be a great night!

Do you guys livestream or record these meetups? Don’t have the opportunity to get out to melbourne but would enjoy watching a stream of the event on my computer.

    Hi Molytron,

It is something we want to do. Unfortunately we aren’t really set up to record meetings as VPAC (our regular venue) has plenty of desktops, but no cameras. Plus our (non-online) presenters often wander around so we would really need a camera person another laptop to do it properly.

It will happen in time but can’t promise when, anyone else keen to give it a go?
